A Tree and Peacock
On a hot dry summer evening
when no one will be on the roads
A powerful thunderclap might give
A sense of your hairs standing on their own
Excitement rushes from head to toe
In a huge leprous hide
With greener bushy arms apart
Welcoming the blissful delight
The peacock on the other hand
with a hide of vibrant blue and green
Ties little anklets to its long legs
And enjoy this blissful breeze
Now it comes what they were waiting
for; tiny droplets from heaven
marking as his gracious gift
to the people on the lands with benefits
But as for a tree and a peacock
dancing out aloud
In the sense of their true lover
who sends them these lovely downpours
